- Some days I feel as if I am a woman with too many hats. I spend my working days registering births, deaths and marriages and my evenings making jewellery as a would-be artisan, keeping up with my Etsy shop, trying to be a good wife and competent housekeeper and doggy-mum, dutiful daughter to ageing parents, good friend and the family historian.
